Lumalakas ang panawagan para sa pagbibitiw ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. (PBBM) matapos makalikom ng 16 milyong pirma ang kampanya na humihiling sa kanyang pagbaba sa puwesto. Nagsimula ang kampanya dahil sa galit ng publiko sa mga kontrobersyal na desisyon ng administrasyon, partikular sa paghawak sa kaso ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa International Criminal Court (ICC). Maraming kritiko ang nagsasabing banta ito sa soberanya ng bansa at nagpapakita ng kahinaan sa pamumuno ni PBBM.
Bukod sa isyu sa ICC, lumalakas din ang mga paratang ng pang-aabuso sa kapangyarihan at kawalan ng aksyon sa mga problemang pang-ekonomiya at panlipunan. Maraming tagasuporta ni Duterte ang nadismaya at itinuturing na isang pagtataksil ang naging hakbang ng administrasyon. Ang 16 Million Signature campaign ay nagbigay ng matinding hamon sa kasalukuyang administrasyon, na maaaring magdulot ng mas matinding tensyon sa pulitika.
