The Monkeys and the Farmer

Every day, a group of monkeys would steal corn from a farmer’s field. The farmer, angered by their actions, would chase them away with a stick whenever he spotted them. As a result, the monkeys could never eat as much corn as they wanted.

One day, unexpectedly, the farmer passed away. When the monkeys heard the news, they celebrated with joy, believing their troubles were over.

However, the following year, no corn grew in the field. With no one to cultivate the crops, the land remained barren. Soon, the hungry monkeys realized a harsh truth—the very man they saw as their enemy was the one who had been providing their food all along.

Moral of the Story:

We often take people and things for granted, failing to recognize their true value. But when they are gone, we finally understand their importance. Appreciate what you have before it’s too late.
