Green sea turtles are amazing creatures! Did you know that theyâre as old as dinosaurs and can be as heavy as motorbikes? They are one of the biggest hard-shelled sea turtles in the world. They love swimming through tropical or warm subtropical ocean waters, feasting on seaweed and holding their breath for up to five hours. These incredible creatures play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our ocean ecosystems by grazing on seagrass, which helps promote underwater habitats. However, they face severe threats from habitat loss, pollution, and illegal trade. đ
Take action today: Support conservation efforts, reduce plastic use, and spread awareness. Together, we can ensure a thriving future for Green Sea Turtles and our precious marine ecosystems! đ
