Glass manufacturing has a rich history, believed to have originated in Egypt for the first time. Since then, the processes have continuously evolved from artisanal craftsmanship to the high-tech industrial operations we see today within our renowned company.
Glass is a sustainable and fully recyclable material, offering significant environmental benefits such as the conservation of valuable natural resources. It is made from abundant natural raw materials like sand and glass waste. The amount of solid waste generated by the glass industry during production is extremely low, as nearly all glass waste (cullet) is immediately recycled. Glass is highly valued across numerous applications due to its inert nature and its contribution to safeguarding human health and well-being. It preserves the taste and vitamins of foods and beverages stored in glass containers, ensuring no contamination from packaging materials. It is also widely used in the pharmaceutical industry to maintain product integrity, with no concerns regarding chemical or pollutant interactions.
In this spirit, we were the primary sustainability partner for the 8th edition of the El Gouna Film Festival in 2025.
