Client complaints: very slow response to some applications and sound is not working properly.
system is 5 years old of age
Initial actions:
check for possible virus/malware infiltrates the system. check ms configuration and reduce all unnecessary service running at the background.
Recommended also the possible upgrade since the system is still in goos working condition. Agreed by client upgrade proceeded
Model : Dell Inspiron with touch screen display
Old hardware:
160 HDD
4GB ddr4
battery (busted)
Upgraded to
Hard drive: 240GB SSD
Memory : 16GB DDR4 2400
Battery : replaced with new OEM 42Wh
Now working with its new/fresh hardware

Firefox was a huge problem for me. Eating memory like crazy. (I like to have many tabs open). I Installed Wize Memory Optimizer. It is helping a lot. Also good if you're running a virtual machine in the cloud with limited memory.
